Now, Greg brings that hard-earned perspective to the front edge of legal innovation. He founded Tomorrow Lawyer for one reason: to close the widening gap between emerging artificial intelligence technology and the everyday lawyer.

The mission is simple but urgent — help small and solo practitioners harness AI to strengthen their practice, not replace their judgment.

Why This Work Matters

Legal technology, especially AI, favors BigLaw budgets and marketing departments. The AI industry for small firms has focused on lead generation and client intake, while neglecting the heart of lawyering — research, drafting, analysis, and client service. Meanwhile, the conversations around AI have often been dominated by technologists far removed from the realities of small-firm practice.

Greg’s journey into AI began with deep skepticism. To him, early “AI” tools were little more than gimmicky chatbots — unreliable and ethically dangerous for substantive legal work. That changed after attending a Clio conference, where one AI workshop challenged his assumptions. In that moment, the potential became clear: AI wasn’t a replacement for human expertise — it was the next great utility. The new electricity.

Since then, Greg has immersed himself in AI experimentation — training models, building customized assistants for specific practice areas, and helping lawyers automate repetitive tasks while maintaining ethical and professional standards.

The Vision

The legal profession stands at a crossroads. The firms that adapt will not only survive but thrive — delivering faster, more accurate, and more affordable legal services. Greg Varner AI Consulting exists to ensure that small and solo practitioners aren’t left behind in that transformation.

By pairing deep legal experience with practical AI implementation, Greg helps attorneys modernize their workflows, reduce burnout, and focus on what truly matters: lawyering with precision, compassion, and integrity.
